Meal Planner.
"What's for dinner?" — solved.
The Shack's meal planner puts the week's dinners where everyone can see them: what's being cooked, who's cooking it, and what night. The eternal 5pm "what's for dinner?" question answers itself.
Free plan · 14-day Pro trial · No credit card to start
Because the planner is connected to the shared shopping list, planning dinner and shopping for it become one motion — pick the meals, push the ingredients, done.
Why houses use it
A visible week of dinners
Everyone sees the plan, so nobody defrosts the wrong thing or cooks pasta two nights running.
Who's cooking
Put a name against each meal — cooking duty gets shared instead of defaulting to one person.
Ingredients to list
Push a meal's ingredients to the shopping list in one tap.
AI recipe ideas (Pro)
Stuck for ideas? On Pro, The Shack suggests recipes based on what's already in your pantry.
Import any recipe from a link (Pro)
Paste a food-blog URL and the ingredients, method, serves and cook time land in your recipe library — reviewed by you before saving.
Scale portions automatically
Cooking for 2 or 8 instead of 4? Bump the serves on any recipe and quantities rescale — and go to the shopping list at the new amounts.

Common questions
Does the meal planner connect to the shopping list?
Yes — each planned meal's ingredients can be pushed to the shared shopping list in one tap, so the weekly shop covers the weekly plan.
Can it suggest what to cook?
Yes — the Pro plan includes AI recipe suggestions that work from what you already have in your pantry inventory. It's unlocked during every new household's 14-day Pro trial too.
Can I import a recipe from a website?
Yes — on Pro, paste any recipe page's link and The Shack reads the ingredients, method, serves and cook time (using the page's structured recipe data, with AI as a fallback). You review everything before it's saved.
Can it scale a recipe's portions?
Yes — every saved recipe with a serves count has a stepper that rescales ingredient quantities, and the rescaled amounts are what get pushed to the shopping list.
